The Willacy Pavilion at the Wandoan Showground has long been the heart of the community’s Arts & Crafts display, showcasing local talent and creativity. Thanks to recent funding provided by Cubico Sustainable Investments, the pavilion has undergone a much-needed refurbishment, including sanding and polishing the hardwood floors, minor repair work, and a fresh gloss finish. These improvements have breathed new life into the space, ensuring it remains a central hub for community activities for years to come.
In 2024, the pavilion saw its highest number of entries in over 15 years, with many participants, some of whom have been entering for over four decades, proudly contributing their works. The pavilion also plays a key role in displaying school arts and crafts from Wandoan State School, Guluguba State School, and local home schoolers. With preparations for the 2025 show already underway, the pavilion continues to be a beloved space that celebrates the spirit of the Wandoan community.
