Cubico Sustainable Investments is working to develop, own, and operate a renewable energy hub near Wandoan in Southern Queensland.
The proposed Middle Creek Energy Hub comprises of up to 1.45GW of renewable energy generation, through a combination of up to 175 wind turbine generators (WTG), solar and battery energy storage system (BESS).
When fully operational the project will provide clean affordable energy to over 700,000 homes across Queensland, as well as creating over 500 jobs and driving significant opportunities in the local economies.
Since early 2023, Cubico has been engaging with landholders and undertaking feasibility assessments covering ecology (flora and fauna), cultural heritage and resource (solar and wind).
Cubico is committed to building long-term relationships with all our stakeholders. We want to work with regional communities to deliver longstanding benefits that align with the aspirations and values of the community.
The project has begun engagement with regional stakeholders, and we will be attending and hosting events in Wandoan to meet with the community to discuss the Project. We look forward to hearing from the community on how this project can benefit the region.
